ABOUT THE EVENT
Rockin Monkey is proud to announce our 1st annual sticker themed art event! Our goal with this event is bring light to the awesome world of sticker art and celebrate sticker design and culture. Whether they are printed and cut at home, professionally printed, or hand drawn on USPS labels; we want to see them and give you an outlet to sell them!
Nothing! We never charge anyone to take part in our events. Parking is also free!
ABSOLUTELY NOT! That's money that could be going to an artist instead.
Absolutely! We want the core of this event to be centered around stickers, but we know not everyone makes and sells stickers. You are not required to sell stickers, and you are welcome to sell anything you like at your booth.
You will need to provide your own table. However, chairs will be provided by Brick.
Every vendor is provided an 6' section, and we ask that you keep all of your stuff within that space.
We ask that you setup anytime between 4pm-6:30pm.
There will be various wall outlets throughout the event space at Brick, however you will need to bring your own extension cord to reach them.
We want you to sell your stuff, and we want you to do good! You are permitted to accept cash or card transactions.
We're monkeys, not vultures! We don't want a single dime from what you sell. We're artists too, and we want as much of your profits going into your own pockets, not ours!
Although we aren't vultures, Uncle Sam unfortunately is. It is your responsibility for collecting and paying Texas State Sales Tax if applicable to the products. "Damn the Man!"
There's a couple of different ways you can help get the word out:
- Tell people to go to StickUp.RockinMonkey.com to add the event to their Facebook events calendar.
- Come by our office anytime Monday-Friday between 9-5:30. We have posters and awesome stickers that you can take to spread the word.
- Share the Facebook event on your own timeline.
- We will have a page coming soon on the website for vendors so you can download digital flyers to post to your own Instagram, Facebook, etc. accounts.
Beer and wine will be available for sale through the Brick Bar. And like everywhere else, you must be 21+ to buy or consume alcohol at the event or on the premise. Also, please drink responsibly.
You need to notify us at least 2 weeks prior to the event. If you cancel less than 2 weeks prior to the event or are a no-show the day of the event, you will incur a $50 fee.
The event will still go on since this event will be indoors!
- ACCEPTANCE OF VENDORS: Submission of this application does not guarantee acceptance due to limited space.
- PARKING/LOADING: Parking and loading in/out will be provided within the Blue Star Arts Complex parking lot. It is your responsibility to obey all posted signs and traffic laws.
- AGE RESTRICTIONS: The minimum age to be a vendor is fifteen (15) years old. Any vendor between the ages of fifteen (15) and eighteen (18) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- TERMINATION: This agreement shall automatically terminate at the end of the event.
- VENDOR CANCELLATION: The vendor must notify Rockin Monkey at least two (2) weeks prior to the event. If the vendor cancels less than two (2) weeks prior to the event, a $50 fee will be collected.
- PROHIBITED ACTS: The vendor shall not distribute or advertise any product or service that is not consistent with the "family friendly" culture of Rockin Monkey. The vendor will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
LIMITS OF LIABILITY: (a) The vendor agrees to be liable for its respective acts, omissions, and obligations under this Agreement and indemnifies and holds Rockin Monkey, its officers, participating organizations, and employees harmless for any such acts, liabilities, omissions, claims or obligations. Any indemnity hereunder shall also inure to the benefit of the City of San Antonio. This indemnity shall survive the termination of the Agreement.
(b) Nothing contained herein shall be deemed or construed to create any partnership or joint venture between Vendor and the Organizer. All activities by each party or its subcontractors under the terms of this Agreement shall be carried on by such or its subcontractors, as an independent contractor and not as an agent for or employee of the other party hereto. Under no circumstances shall any employee of each party or employee of its subcontractors be deemed or construed to be an employee of the other party. Neither party shall be liable for any injuries or damages incurred by the other party, or the other party's subcontractors, as a result of the other party's activities in the performance of this Agreement.
(c) WAIVER OF SUBROGATION: Nothing contained herein shall be deemed or construed to create any partnership or joint venture between Vendor and Commission. All activities by each party or its subcontractors under the terms of this Agreement shall be carried on by such or its subcontractors, as an independent contractor and not as an agent for or employee of the other party hereto. Under no circumstances shall any employee of each party or employee of its subcontractors be deemed or construed to be an employee of the other party. Neither party shall be liable for any injuries or damages incurred by the other party, or the other party's subcontractors, as a result of the other party's activities in the performance of this Agreement.
