You don't need to be a kid of the '80s and '90s to understand the appeal of everything glow in the dark and the obsession with it. It's as beautiful to behold as stars in the night sky or the moon on a clear night. Plus, it's just freakin' awesome how bright your artwork can look in the dark!
We here at Rockin Monkey rigorously tested every manufacturer of glow in the dark vinyl we could get our hands on. We rated each vinyl's durability, adhesive strength, glow strength, duration of the glow, and quality of the ink absorption when printed. All this was done so that we can confidently say that we produce the best glow in the dark stickers possible.

Control the glow effect.
When it comes to printing images as Glow in the Dark stickers, a good rule to follow is:
The darker the image, the less it will glow. The lighter the image, the more it will glow. Pretty simple. Since all images for Glow in the Dark printing are converted into black and white or grayscale, it is important to ensure enough contrast between different areas of your artwork.

Uploaded color images sometimes need some additional adjustments to get the best results for your Glow in the Dark stickers.
Our example of Bixby in the Caddy starts out as a typical image, but needs to be converted for Glow in the Dark printing. If we convert the image directly to grayscale, the image might convert like Figure 1.
That's doesn't look ideal. The values converted accurately, however, it's not going to look that great when printed. It's going to look more like a darkened blob. Not only that, but the glow time is reduced because it's being blocked by too much ink. Eww.
The best way to solve this is to adjust the values of grayscale in the image. The resulting sticker will have much more definition, as can be seen in Figure 2. These adjustments can be made in Photoshop with a Black & White adjustment layer. No clue what we're talking about? No worries. Our Prepress team can make these adjustments when creating your mockup for approval.

1. Once the mockup for your order are ready, you'll receive an email with the link to your mockup. You will have 48 hours to request changes. If you do not request changes or approve the mockup within 48 hours, your order will be automatically forwarded to production.
2. If you are making a change in vinyl, size or finish, we will not be able to send your order straight to production. Also, if your order has other line items that require a proof, we will be re-sending a proof for your re-ordered stickers. We cannot split the order to print one line item prior to the others.
